Hey kids! Long time no update.

It's been a nutty couple of months, but I have to say I'm doing pretty well.

Anyway, big news is my paper got accepted to the conference in Edinburgh, Scotland! AND, the conference starts the Monday after Spring Break; therefore, I am going a week early! SO! Pints in pubs! Wee drams o' whisky! Trips into the Highlands! I've booked a self-catering apartment in New Town, and I'm dying to hear all your advice. I know a lot of my list has been to Scotland.

First, and most importantly, does anyone care to come for a pint the week of 23 March?

Second, what should I do whilst there?

You will never feel lost in Edinburgh, even though you have no clue where you are. I wandered about aimlessly for hours, on my own, and never felt lost or scared, simply because I just looked up, and saw the castle, and knew my hotel wasn't far from there. There are so many visual landmarks, you'll always be able to find your way.

Good to know. I never get lost, but you never know!

Edinburgh is a beautiful city! I loved the weekend I spent there.

Oh, and if you want to try some haggis, go for the fried haggis. When I was there (this was 10 years ago) a friend of mine tried it and said it was pretty good, much like a spicy meatloaf.
